Sustainability Report and Recertifications
2024 marked an important milestone in our sustainability journey with the achievement of ISO 14001 certification. This has strengthened our systematic efforts to reduce environmental impact and engaged our employees in the green transition.
We are making progress towards our Science Based Targets, aiming for a 42% reduction in CO₂ emissions from Scope 1 and 2 by 2030.
In 2024, we continued our transition to electric vehicles, upgraded our lighting systems to energy-efficient LED solutions, and enhanced collaboration with suppliers regarding the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
Sustainability is a continuous journey – and we remain committed to driving real change.
EN 1092-1 flanges in acid-resistant and heat-resistant steel grades
We are pleased to introduce the latest addition to our range: flanges in the heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant grades AISI321 1.4541 and AISI316Ti 1.4571. Ideal for use in industrial, marine, and pharmaceutical environments.
AISI321 1.4541 is a stainless steel alloyed with titanium, making it resistant to corrosion at high temperatures. It is well-suited for applications such as heat exchangers, chemical plants, and piping systems exposed to thermal stress.
AISI316Ti 1.4571 is an enhanced version of AISI316, with added titanium to improve strength at elevated temperatures. This provides excellent corrosion resistance, making it particularly suitable for use in marine environments, the food industry, and the pharmaceutical sector.
We continuously monitor the raw materials market and would like to provide an update on the price development of carbon steel – a key material in flange production and therefore an important factor in your procurement planning.
Falling Prices in the First Half of 2025
Since January, we have observed a gradual decline in carbon steel prices. Our internal price index – which combines external steel price indices with data from recent purchases and customer inquiries – shows an overall decrease of around 6%, from index 82 to below 78.
The most significant drop occurred in March and April. Since then, the price level has stabilized at a lower rate.
What’s Driving the Trend?
Several factors are at play:
Decreased demand
Increased global supply, especially from Asian producers
Lower prices on energy and other raw materials
What Does It Mean for You as a Customer?
This development brings several advantages:
Competitive pricing on our products
Stable and reliable deliveries, even for large-scale projects
Opportunities for volume discounts and expedited deliveries – we’re happy to offer a tailored quote
Stainless steel
At INDURA, we continuously monitor the price development of key material grades that impact both our production and your business. Below is the trend in the price of stainless steel bars in grade 1.4404, which is used in flange production.
Development in the First Half of 2025
The market for stainless steel bars has generally shown stable pricing throughout the first six months of the year, with prices largely centered around index 100.
See the price development in the graph below:
However, certain fluctuations have been observed:
A price increase in March and April, peaking in early June when the index reached its highest level at around 103
A brief dip in April, followed by another increase and a slight decline at the end of June
What’s Influencing the Market?
Several factors have impacted the price level:
Stable production in Asian markets
Currency fluctuations, particularly between the USD and Asian currencies

EPR
We Take Responsibility for Packaging
At INDURA, we actively work to comply with both current and upcoming packaging regulations. In Denmark, we are already focusing on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and are establishing systems for proper registration of packaging data – in close collaboration with our packaging partner.
We are closely monitoring the development of the EU’s upcoming Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), expected to take effect in 2026, and are already adjusting our solutions accordingly. Our approach is gradual and responsible, with a focus on transparency, data quality, and cooperation with both suppliers and customers.
We continuously update our systems and communication, and you are always welcome to contact us with any questions.
CBAM
EU Climate Regulations for Imported Goods
CBAM stands for Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and is a new EU regulation designed to ensure that imported goods meet the same climate requirements as those produced within the EU.
What does it mean for you?
CBAM primarily applies to goods such as steel and aluminium – materials used in many of our products.
INDURA handles the required reporting and documentation.
As our customer, you will continue to have access to all necessary documentation and transparency – without the extra hassle.
